Troubleshooting
If you have a troublesome issue that is really wearing you down then this service is for you. I am often asked if I work in a similar way to Jo Frost of SuperNanny and Nanny911 fame, the simple answer is yes... although my tecniques do slightly differ and are my own, based on training, many years of experience and being a mother of three.
OBSERVATION: I'll come to your home and assess your baby / children in their environment. To gain insight into your baby's needs, the first part of your home visit will be spent observing them during normal family life. This provides invaluable information and is the foundation that all advice is based on. Some babies / children need more observation than others.
PLANNING: The next step, usually over a cup of tea, involves a chat to thoroughly discuss issues that have arisen during the first part of your home visit. Taking your thoughts and feelings into consideration I will then create a childcare plan that will both resolve the issue and work for you.
ACTION: Depending on the age of the child or nature of the concern this could involve my working hands-on with the family to resolve the issue or taking an observational role where I will teach you techniques and provide support and advice as you learn.
FOLLOW UP: As part of this service you will receive an email outlining the advice agreed during your home visit for your reference. I will contact you after your first night on your own so that we can discuss any issues that may have arrisen. Included in your fee you are able to call me for up to 30 mins to raise any questions. There is also the opportunity to purchase further follow up support should you decide you require it, some clients find it useful for queries that arise after I leave.
All regimes are designed to be simple, practical and effective - I work on the premise that parents live in the real world and cannot always follow the 'ideal' patterns set out in text books or copy exactly what they see on TV. The plan is put together with you and to fit your (and your childrens) unique circumstances.
